The cruise lasts 112 days, ending April 28. In my estimation, most passengers are over 65. One of my tablemates is 89 and hoping to take next year's world cruise to celebrate her 90th year. There is one 8-year-old child, the only minor aboard.
The ship's capacity is 1300 passengers if every cabin is booked with double occupancy. I have heard that there are 800 of us signed on for the entire voyage with other people joining for segments. I suspect that having a relatively large number of singles -- 40 or 50 by rough estimate -- cuts into the population because we take up cabins. The ship and its programs are well designed to prevent our feeling like part of a crowd:lots of different kinds of things to do and lots of relatively small spaces in which to do them.
Thank you very much!
